Supervision
Who and When?

Supervision is crucial in counselling because it enhances professional development, ensures ethical and effective practice, and supports the counsellor's well-being, ultimately benefiting both the counsellor and the client- NCPS
Why me?
I have over 18 years experience as a counsellor. I am currently a PhD student researching how counselling is experienced by those who are autistic. I am a published researcher into the experiences of autistic counsellors here in the UK https://doi.org/10.1002/capr.12839. I have also self-published my pieces on being an AuDHD counsellor working in schools (here), and a reflexive piece on whether ADHD needs to be recognised in the counselling room (here).
I have an MA, BSc, and Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition to being a counsellor, I have over 20 years of experience therapeutically working with children and young people within the care sector, including management and supervisory roles.

Even though I am autistic and have ADHD (combined) and work mostly with autistic and ADHD clients, due to my core training, I can, and do, support both neurodiverse and allistic clients/supervisees.

I am person-centred at my core, with additional training in CBT, inner child and creative work, IFS, DBT and a lot of knowledge on autism and ADHD, and support of the co-occurring difficulties, e.g, disorganised eating, self-injury, OCD, anxiety, depression, burnout, non-existence fantasies, self-esteem, sexual assault and self-identity.
LGBTQIA+ safe space and trans allied,

I am senior accredited with the NCPS, and I have applied for senior accreditation with the BACP (awaiting feedback).
Fees - while I am completing my training hours, my fees are £30 per hour, or £45 per 90 minutes. Once completed, it will increase to represent my hourly rate
