If you make an enquiry but do not become a client, your information will normally be deleted within six months.
If you become a client, records are normally retained for seven years after counselling has ended, or after a child turns 18. Unless I am legally or professionally required to retain them for longer.

If you remain dissatisfied with my response, or you believe that I have not processed your personal data in accordance with data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent authority
14. Professional Will
If I die or become permanently unable to practise, my appointed Professional Executor (Clinical Trustee) may access client contact information and relevant records only where necessary to notify clients, ensure continuity of care and manage the secure closure or transfer of records in accordance with professional and legal obligations.
15. Social Media
I maintain professional social media accounts.
I do not provide counselling through social media and I do not accept friend or connection requests from current clients.
Any interaction on social media does not establish a therapeutic relationship.
I will never identify anyone as a client without their explicit consent.
16. AI Useahe
"I rarily use digital tools, including AI, however if I do, it is to help draft and tidy up administrative emails, texts and appointment messages. No identifiable client information, session content or counselling records are ever entered into these tools, and I review and edit anything before it's used."

This Privacy Notice may be updated from time to time.
